Books skips the chapters — tell us what you want to read and the whole book is written for you, start to finish, two a month. Both are subscriptions, and you can change plan from your subscription page in the app; nothing changes until you confirm.
The first two chapters of any living story are free. After that, Stories is $15.99 a month. Books is $2.99 for your first month, $5.99 a month until the end of the year and $9.99 a month after that, and brings two complete books a month. Books+ is $12.99 for your first month and $19.99 a month after that, and brings five. Embers are separate: our small in-app currency for one-off purchases and optional rituals like the character poster.
